Responsibilities include Perform grounds keeping and building maintenance duties. Mow lawn, trim shrubs & trees, pull weeds. Remove snow and ice from buildings, walkways, and steps, sprinkle ice melt. May rake leaves, clean, and sweep litter. Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in grounds keeping. Building repairs: plaster or drywall repairs, fix or paint roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, and other parts of building structures. Responsible for checking the accuracy of work and able to adjust when necessary. Follow safety and security policies and procedures. Maintain a clean work environment. Able to operate the required machinery in the area. Maintain a “customer first” mindset for productivity and quality. Maintain 6S in the work area. Meets agreed on Company and department goals on time. Able to operate other equipment in the area when necessary. May perform other duties when necessary. Operate Solvent Distilling Machine. Keep accurate records of Distilled Solvent.
Minimum Qualifications Minimum of 18 years of age. Previous maintenance experience preferred. Ability to read material safety data sheets (MSDS) Have a valid driver’s license, be able to drive, and qualify under the district’s insurance carrier when driving a company vehicle. Forklift experience preferred. Ability and willingness to follow directions as well as the ability to work independently requiring little or no supervision. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Able to communicate in English with team members (Speak and reading, writing ability required.) May be required to pass employer performance tests including pre-employment drug screening. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future.
Physical requirements include the ability to stand for 8 to 10 hours at a time. Able to lift to 25 lbs. Able to climb ladders and perform duties at heights over 6 feet. Production facility exposed to continual machine noise. Exposure to outdoor temperatures.
Equipment / Machinery Used includes lawn mower and landscaping tools, forklifts, ladder, manlift, and assorted machinery including power tools, lathes, grinders, saws, and standard hand tools.
